Methionine supplement cardiovascular marketing talks about supporting heart health, maintaining healthy circulation, and promoting cardiovascular wellness. Three verbs, zero commitments. It reads like a reference written by someone who barely remembers hiring you.
Here is what the label will not tell you: methionine is the amino acid that needs a chaperone. Take it alone and your body converts it into homocysteine, the metabolite cardiologists measure when they are worried about your arteries. The supplement industry sells you the precursor, skips the B vitamins that recycle it, and leaves you to work out why your bloodwork looks like that.
If you are asking does methionine raise homocysteine levels, the answer is yes, enthusiastically, unless you also take folate, B6, and B12. Which most bottles do not mention. That is not an oversight. That is the business model.
