Nature's Way Umcka Cough Max Relief Syrup brings together Pelargonium sidoides (that's the fancy name for umckaloabo root). You know what I used to do? I used to think cough syrups were all the same. I still do, but I used to, too. (Except this one actually tastes decent, which is weird for medicine.)
This 4 oz bottle contains a formula made with Pelargonium sidoides extract. The formula has a syrup consistency and is easy to take (no choking on tablets). It's herbal-based syrup format.

Suggested Use: Adults & children 13 years and older: take 1½ teaspoons (7.5 mL) three times daily. Children 6-12 years of age: take 1 teaspoon (5 mL) three times daily. Use at first sign of symptoms and continue for additional 48 hours after symptoms cease. Shake well before each use.
Sore throat warning: if sore throat is severe, persists more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly. Ask a doctor before use if you have persistent or chronic cough, cough accompanied by excessive phlegm, taking medications, or allergy to Geraniaceae family plants. Stop use and ask a doctor if new symptoms occur, symptoms worsen or last more than 7 days, fever worsens or lasts more than 3 days, or cough lasts more than 7 days or occurs with rash or persistent headache. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a healthcare professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, seek medical help or contact Poison Control Center.
