Banyan Botanicals Triphala Liquid Extract, Organic / 30 Milliliters

Triphala means three fruits, which is three more fruits than I eat most days

Triphala is a traditional Ayurvedic blend of three dried fruits: amalaki, bibhitaki, and haritaki. That's it. No fourth fruit sneaking in there trying to get famous. Banyan Botanicals takes those three and turns them into a liquid extract, which means you don't have to chew anything or pretend you like the taste of dried fruit on purpose. You just take your dose and move on with your day, the way nature apparently intended before someone invented candy.

This one's organic, which I think just means the fruit trees were left alone to do their own thing. No one was out there bothering them. That's kind of nice when you think about it. Nobody's bothering the haritaki. Good for the haritaki.

What it's actually for

Triphala has been used in Ayurvedic tradition for a long time, and it's mainly known for supporting healthy digestion and regular elimination. It also supports a healthy inflammatory response in the digestive tract and helps maintain the body's natural detoxification processes, the ones your body is already doing, it's not like this hands your gut a brand new job it never had. Think of it as a tune-up for a system that's already running, not a replacement engine.

• Supports healthy digestive function and regularity
• Promotes a healthy inflammatory response in the gut
• Supports the body's natural cleansing processes
• Contributes to overall digestive comfort
• Organic, liquid form, no chewing required

Why liquid

You can take this as drops in a little water, which is nice if you're the kind of person who looks at a capsule and thinks "that's a lot of commitment for a Tuesday." A dropper is quick. You squeeze it, you count the drops, you drink it, you're done. The bottle is 30 milliliters, which doesn't sound like much until you realize how far a few drops a day actually stretches. It's concentrated. It's not trying to be a beverage.

Triphala's been around in Ayurvedic practice for centuries, which either means it works or it's got really good publicity that's lasted an extremely long time. I'm inclined to go with the first one, but I also don't know everything. Nobody does. That's why there's a whole dietary supplement industry and not just one guy who figured it all out and went home.

Part of a daily wellness routine, best paired with the basics you already know about: water, some vegetables, maybe a walk. Triphala doesn't replace any of that. It just shows up and does its own specific job, quietly, like a fruit extract that's been doing this exact job since before your country existed.
