Plum Flower Tian Ma Medium unsulfured is the dried tuber of a orchid that lives off a fungus, a plant that quit photosynthesis and let something else do the cooking.
This one is the tuber, which is the first thing worth noticing. (Most plants grow up toward the light and earn their keep that way. This orchid skipped the green and skipped the leaves and stayed underground, living off a fungus it borrowed instead of making food for itself. So the bag isn't the part that did the work. It's the part that arranged for the work to get done elsewhere, the underground deal dug up and dried.) It supports the body's natural processes, the quiet background kind a body already runs without filing a report.
The thing about Tian Ma is that this is the medium grade, which is a sorting, not a recipe. (Tubers come in different sizes, and somebody graded these into a middle tier, not the biggest and not the smallest. So the bag is the pile that landed in between, picked by a person who looked at a heap of tubers and decided which ones were medium. The plant never knew it was medium. That happened later, by hand, by eye.) It supports cognitive function and helps maintain a calm, settled feeling, the everyday kind a body keeps up on its own.
This is the unsulfured version, which is mostly a step that didn't happen. (A lot of dried botanicals get a sulfur treatment to keep the color bright and the bugs uninterested. This one skipped it, which fits a plant that already skipped photosynthesis. The bag is the tuber and the drying and nothing standing in for either.) It promotes daily wellness the unhurried way.
Why People Keep It Around
- Plum Flower Tian Ma, medium grade, whole dried tuber (Gastrodia elata), unsulfured, sold loose by the bag (SKU 739934121665)
- Tian Ma, the tuber of an orchid that lives off a fungus instead of the sun
- A plant that skipped the green, the leaves, and the photosynthesis entirely
- Medium grade, sorted by size, the middle pile picked by hand
- Whole form, ready for a decoction or whatever preparation you already trust
- Unsulfured, meaning the sulfur step got skipped and nothing stands in for the tuber
- A single herb, no formula attached
- Supports the natural processes a body already runs
- Supports cognitive function and helps maintain a calm, settled feeling
- Promotes daily wellness the unhurried way
- Good for someone who wanted the tuber whole and a middle grade, not the choosing left to chance
How to Work It Into Your Day
Use it the way a dried tuber gets used, following the guidance of someone who knows the practice, or simmer it into a decoction, whatever preparation you already trust. That's the procedure. Consult with a physician before using this product, and do not use if pregnant. (Traditional herbs work best when you keep them regular, which is the part people skip. The bag can't keep a schedule for you. Showing up was always the hard part, not the simmering.)
It pairs naturally with the rest of a routine you already keep, the steady meals and the rest and the ordinary care a body responds to. (Tian Ma supports the natural processes a body runs, but it can't simmer itself, dry as it is in the bag. The growing is done and the picking is done and the drying is done, the sulfur step never happened, the grading already happened too, the rest is on you, and there's a bag of medium tubers in there, patient about waiting on the hands that finish the job. The orchid spent its whole life underground, never green, never reaching for light, living off a fungus it latched onto and let do the feeding. Then somebody dug it up and dried it and sorted it into the middle pile, the tuber that never made its own food and never got touched up.) Store it somewhere cool and dry, sealed, since a dried herb keeps better when the air stays out. For a medium-grade tuber left whole and unsulfured so you'd know what's in it, that's a fair trade.
