Tang-kuei and cuscuta have been paired in traditional Chinese herbal practice for centuries, and Sun Ten just turned that pairing into granules you dissolve in hot water. That's the whole pitch. Two old herbs, one modern format, zero blending required on your end.
What's Actually Going On Here
An Tai Yin is a traditional combination formula, and Sun Ten makes it using their standardized extraction process, which is a fancy way of saying they cook the herbs down so you don't have to. You get a granule. You add hot water. It becomes tea. This is not a complicated relationship. The granule format also means no simmering pots, no straining bark out of a mug, and no herbal smell following you around the kitchen for three hours, which, if you've ever made traditional decoctions the old fashioned way, you already know is a real thing.
Cuscuta, by the way, is dodder seed. Dodder is a parasitic vine that just sort of takes over other plants for a living. I don't make the names, I just report them. It's been used traditionally alongside tang-kuei (also called dong quai) for general wellness purposes, and Sun Ten combines both in a concentrated granule so you're not out here trying to source dodder seed on your own, which, respectfully, is not a weekend project anyone should take on.

Why Granules and Not, Say, a Tincture in a Little Brown Bottle
Granules dissolve fast, measure easily, and travel without the risk of glass breaking in your bag, which is a low bar but an important one. Sun Ten has been producing these traditional formulas for decades using consistent extraction standards, so what's in the packet today is what was in the packet last time. That consistency matters more than it sounds like it should, mostly because herbal quality can otherwise be a real coin flip.
This is a traditional herbal combination product, not a fast fix and not a substitute for anything a doctor prescribed you. Take it as directed, mix it with hot water, and let two very old herbs do what they've traditionally done for a very long time. The dodder seed, for its part, has finally found honest work.
