Ge Gen Huang Qin Huang Lian Tang is a traditional Chinese herbal combination built around four plants: Pueraria (kudzu root), Scutellaria (also called Huang Qin, or Scute if you're in a hurry), Coptis (Huang Lian), and Licorice root holding the whole formula together like a bouncer at last call. Sun Ten takes the classic decoction and turns it into a granule, which means nobody's simmering roots on a stove for forty five minutes like it's 200 AD. You add hot water and stir.
